There are designs from Amy Butler, FreeSpirit's flea market and the new designer Joel Dewberry! I am in love with his stuff!

I am dying to cut into it but I need a plan. What should I make first?

I will let you know...

Ellie and the sock monkey skirt!

Well, I just made this for Ellie and she is in love! Won't take the darn thing off. I showed it to a boutique in Austin, Texas and she really wants to get more of them for her store! So now I am off to make all the design changes and improve it for sale! YEAH! The skirt reverses to heather bailey freshcut stripes. I used a feedsack repro as the binding on the bottom and top.

Off to make dinner for the hungry critters in the house! :)

The other side!

Iowa here I come!

So I just mailed this huge package off to Iowa to a children's store. It is brand new and it is having it's grand opening the last weekend in May. But for Mother's Day weekend there was a bazaar so I had to get my stuff there for this weekend. My mom and I have worked our butts off to get everything made and together. Check out her blog about Daisy Jane Boutique: http://www.daisyjaneboutique.blogspot.com/ to learn more about her store.

Here are some of the things that I sent to Sara. I will add more photos.

Anyways, I am so excited to be selling in another state! YIPEE!

Off to enjoy mother's day!

A CRAZY MONTH!

"Look Mom, I'm a Duck!"

May is a big month for my family!

So we went to San Antonio last weekend to celebrate all the May Birthdays. Edwin turned 4 on the 10th and Ellie will turn 2 on the 20th. I turn the BIG 3-0 on the 18th! Plus you throw in Mother's Day and it is a busy month for the family!

We stayed in a nice hill country resort with a cool maze of a pool and was right next to Sea World, which the kids were scared of Shamu. Ellie tried to hide from him when it came to the splashing. Anyways, the resort has a field of beautiful wildflowers that Texas is known for! I took some photos!

The last day we were in San Antonio we stopped by the zoo, which turned out to be really nice. Here are the kids playing around with cutout ducks! They loved it and Edwin took a ton of photos so we shall see how they turn out! He has a very interesting perspecitve!

Someone Blogged Me!

It is always so exciting when you get compliments on your work and even better when they blog about you! One of my Etsy customers, Elizabeth, purchased 7 heart charms to make into wine charm markers for her brother's wedding. She was making them for the members of the wedding party. So here is the link and you can read all about it!

Goodies in a new store!!!

YEAH! I am so excited that my items are being sold in a new store in Austin! Dolce Baby located at 360 and Bee Caves Road (right next to Barnes and Noble).
I have some painted furniture up there and then I added these baby body bibs! Check them out!

The are full body bibs to cover babies up while they are eating or doing art projects! There are little "stirups" in the back to put their feet through so the bib stays completely on! I love this fabric and I have made other ones out of Michael Miller and Amy Butler Designer fabrics!

They are listed on my etsy website if you want to get more details...

Check out this fabric: super shabby chic!

Easter...crazy in-home egg hunt

Well, I just got my photos from our annual easter egg hunt. We hid over 140 eggs for all the little kiddos. The weather was horrible - hailed twice that day and rained the rest of the day - so we had to have an inside egg hunt! It was a little nuts with kids from 1 years old - 6 yrs old... The kid's easter outfits were sadly in the closets since we all need to wear winter clothing! Ellie, of course, had to wear her snowman pjs for the cold weather.

So I was slightly crafty for easter. I made a "recycled" egg tree using fallen branches from my backyard and rocks to hold it up. The eggs were confetti eggs with decorative scrap papers and ribbons.

What a day...

what a day for the world. Between the Virginia Tech shootings and the acid on the little kid's playgrounds, the world is messed up right now.

First Time's a Charm!

Well, this is the first time I have blogged. Strange, exciting, oh my...

I thought what a great way to start my blog by talking about my nifty handmade fine silver charms since it has to do with my title name!
So these little charms were the talk of a party this afternoon. Ed, my husband, overheard one mom talking about the other mom's name charm and how cool it looked. Funny enough she had received it as a gift (from my dear friend Deb) and could not remember who made them... so my wonderful husband spoke up and said it was me! :) You can check them out on my etsy website and see how cool they are!
